General Questions
Q: I paid for my class but how do I start. What do I do?
A: Once you are logged in, click on "My Courses and Information" located on the black bar near the top of your screen. Then click on the "Go" button. Click HERE for a tutorial that shows you the steps.
Q: My class starts to open but isn't opening, the message just says "Wait! Do not close window" What am I suppose to do?
A: Here is most the most common source of this problem. Make sure you don't have a pop-up blocker turned on and waiting for your approval to proceed. The pop-up blocker is usually a light yellow bar located near the top of your screen. Click it and say "Always allow this page to open". The pop-up blocker bar looks like this:
Q: How does the court (person who referred me) know I completed the class?
A: We will, with your permission, notify the referring person of your completion status as you direct us to do.
Q: Can a judge, probation officer or attorney contact TT Online Services to verify your credentials?
A: Of course! If your specific court is not familiar with our program you may wish to print our court approval documentation, (click here to get document). to give them further information. If they contact our office we will also provide them access to our online anger class so they can view the program and its integrity for themselves.
Q: I forgot my username or password, what do I do?
A: No problem just email us from the same email address you used to register and we can get you going again.
Q: I'm having trouble passing a chapter, can I get help?
A: Yes, you can get help. We log your activity and if we can verify that you have put a good faith effort into learning the chapter, you can email us your answers and we will reply by telling you which answers you got correct. (Be sure to tell us which class you are taking and which chapter the answers belong to.)
Q: Will I get a Certificate of Completion?
A: Upon successful completion of the course, a Certificate of Completion will be automatically generated for you. Look to the left of your screen under "My Certificates".
Q: Will you send a Certificate of Completion to the person who referred me?
A: You do have a Completion Certificate available automatically upon completion of your course. However, if you need us to mail or fax a Certificate of Completion to someone please notify us and we will take care of it for you. N0 added fee.
Q: Does the Certificate of Completion come with an added fee?
A: No added fee to get your certificate! As a matter of fact, if you want it embossed and mailed to you or the person who referred you, just give us the information and we'll take care of it from there.
Q: What if I don't have email or the internet?
A: The course is available in two formats: The CORRESPONDENCE COURSE is done through the mail and no email or internet connection is required. You will be mailed a workbook and you will then reply to the questions at the end of each chapter through postal mail. Just go to "Sign Up" and you will be directed to the correspondence course. Many people go to their public library and complete their online class at the library.
Q: I started my class today. I'm not sure if I will be able to finish it today. Am I able to take the rest of it tomorrow?
A: Yes, you can work on it every day for weeks if you want to. Your account is active for one year. Don't hurry or worry that your account will get locked out. We are here to help and to support you. We are going to try hard to make you successful.
Q: I only have 3 days to get this done, can I finish it that quickly?
A: Yes, however you will still be required to complete all the readings and answer each set of questions at the end of each chapter followed by a final test. It is more up to you and your willingness to commit. If you need to complete quickly, let your counselor know and we will work hard to put you to the top of our list. You must still meet our standards when it comes to acceptable test answers.
Q: I am not going to be able to complete my class by the deadline that I was given. What do I do?
A: We would encourage you to: 1. Do everything in your power to attempt to complete on time. 2. Contact your referring person (PO, Judge, Attorney, Etc.) and ask for an extension. In any case, communicating with everyone involved is very important.
Q: I have a yellow trianglepreventing me from starting my chapter. What can I do?
A: If you ever get a yellow triangle icon preventing you from opening a chapter, here is what you can do:
• Double click on the yellow triangle
• Wait for the pop up window to open
• Close the pop up window
Go up to "View" on your toolbar and select "Refresh"
(or hit your F5 key to refresh)
Q: Can I use my Iphone or Ipad type device?
A: Officially "No". However we have had people actually complete the class on their iphone or ipad. We do not support the class being done on the iphone or ipad, but from what we hear it can be done - with a few "issues" along the way.
"THEFT TALK"™ Questions
Q: How long do I have to start and finish the class?
A: Usually the person who refers you to THEFT TALK Online Services™ decides your timeline. We don't impose a timeline on you. We will, however, close your case if there is a one year period of inactivity.
Q: Will this theft/shoplifting/impulse control/petit theft class be accepted by the person who referred me?
A: The likely answer is “Yes” our online theft class will meet the requirements of the agency that referred you. Every year we receive thousands of referrals from Courts, probation officers and schools in every State and from several countries throughout the world. Our classes have never been refused, however, it is important to recognize that each agency has their own standards. If you take our class and our class is declined we do offer a full refund guarantee. To be absolutely certain, you might want to contact the person who referred you and ask if our program would meet their requirements. To date we have not had to provide anyone a refund.
Q: What if I have not ever stolen but I have been told I have to take this class.
A: Regardless of your situation, all of the information within this course should apply directly to your situation or life in general. We do not judge you. We regularly serve clients who indicated they "didn't do it" but finish our class saying: a) "I'm glad I took this class and b) "This stuff applies to many areas of my life."
Q: Does it make sense to take a petit theft class before I go to Court?
A: Really good question! Of course you should seek legal advice but I believe it is a very smart thing to do. If nothing else it shows the judge/juvenile officer or other person that you take the matter seriously and are willing to take the steps necessary to deal with the issue. Our staff have only heard of positive outcomes when people get a theft class taken before Court. You might also consider doing community service work (40 hours) before you go to Court too.
Temper Talk™ Questions
Q: How long do I have to start and finish the class?
A: Usually the person who refers you to Temper Talk Online Services™ decides your timeline. We don't impose a timeline on you. You can start and stop your class as many times as you'd like. It will "remember" where you last ended. We will, however, close your case if there is a one year period of inactivity.
Q: Will this Anger Management class be accepted by the person who referred me?
A: The likely answer is “Yes” our online theft class will meet the requirements of the agency that referred you. Q: Does it make sense to take this Anger Management Class before I go to Court?
A: Really good question! Of course you should seek legal advice but I believe it is a very smart thing to do. If nothing else it shows the judge/juvenile officer or other person that you take the matter seriously and are willing to take the steps necessary to deal with the issue. Few people do take the class before Court but from our experience it impresses and influences the judge/person who referred you. You might also consider doing community service work (40 hours) before you go to Court too.
